Health Services Mission Statement
The Mission of Thrive Health Services is to make every effort to have a positive impact on the health care experience, while creating a culture in which students learn to make responsible, informed decisions regarding their personal health, wellness, and wellbeing.

What are the required forms and immunizations for health services?
According to University policy, a completed Health & Immunization Form is required of all students. We look forward to serving your health care needs while you are a student at AU.

Do I need an appointment to be seen in Health Services?
Yes, please call 864/622-6078 to schedule an appointment.
What if I become ill after hours?
You may contact the after-hours nurse line at 864-622-6078 to speak to a nurse or leave a message.
If you feel your health need is an emergency, go to the Anmed Health Emergency Department (address below) or CALL 911.

Do you do laboratory procedures or X-rays?
We do not perform x-rays in Health Services but we can write an order for one.
We perform limited labs within Health services at a modest fee:
- Flu / Covid
- Strep
- Urinalysis
- Blood glucose
- Mononucleosis
- Hemoglobin
If I am ill, can I obtain Medication at Health Services?
We have many over the counter medications available. Your medical provider will choose which ones are best for you and give you a 24 hour supply. If you receive a prescription you will need to have it filled at the pharmacy of your choice, at your expense.
Can I receive allergy injections at Health Services?
We do not offer allergy injection at this time; however, we will assist you with a referral to a local allergist.
Do you provide an excuse to miss class?
Absence notes are given based on the decision of the health care professional and the diagnosis of the patient.
