Program Overview
The Mathematics: Actuarial concentration equips you to calculate risk so you can offer the right insurance products to the right people. You’ll gain a firm grasp of the way mathematics, accounting, and statistics influence decisions about risk. Your degree will set you up for success in taking the required exams to earn your Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) credential. The median annual pay for an actuary is $105,900, but your earning potential increases with each level of actuarial exams. This degree could also lead to a career as an economist, a mathematician/statistician, financial analyst, or postsecondary teacher.
