Program Overview
The Music Education: Instrumental concentration prepares you to teach music in a variety of settings, from pre-K through grade 12. This program will mold you into a proficient musician educator, who composes, performs, or leads music in your community and inspires students in their musical pursuits. Your coursework will focus on deepening your understanding of the art of teaching music while gaining 100 hours of field experience. This degree could lead to a career as a music teacher, music director or composer, sound engineer or technician, music therapist, or musician/singer.
